Auction sale of an important art gallery and the art heritage of the Marchesa E. A. West, Rome, 7-13 December (1969), as Francesco Botticini (illustrated on the cover).
The painting bore a traditional attribution to Francesco Botticini (Florence 1446 - 1498), however it seems more pertinent to assign the work, by stylistic analogies, to the early production of Jacopo del Sellaio (Florence 1441 - 1493).Suggested lots
