Obverse: Winged and haloed lion standing left with open book, receiving from the kneeling Doge the Venetian flag surmounted by a cross; Reverse: Saint Justina standing facing, her heart pierced by a dagger, clutching a palm in her right hand and holding a book in her left. A rough sea lies at anchor with two galleys and two mountains on the horizon.
