Specialist Notes
A valuable and distinguished edition, one of the most celebrated and well-documented on the history of the Saint who has always been identified with the city of Naples. Falcone's research ranges from manuscripts to the main printed sources, found in Naples but also elsewhere, such as the Vatican Library. "Now, therefore, having so much in hand, on November 6, 1709, printing began." And this was the result: 526 numbered pages on the life and history of the Saint of Naples.
