Specialist Notes
Work published by Antonio Sanfelice senior (1515-1570), and not by his great-nephew Antonio Sanfelice, bishop of Nardò. It was, however, published by the latter's younger brother, Ferdinando Sanfelice (1675-1748), a famous architect. The first edition was published in Latin in 1562 ( De Origine et situ Campaniae ).
