Palermo, Visconti & Huber, 1871-75. In folio. 2 volumes, one containing text, the other plates. With 98 chromolithographic plates numbered 1-97, plus one plate labeled 6bis. Rare and very light foxing. Beautiful leather binding. Richly decorated boards, the initials MN in the center. Gold title within a red label on the spine. Very light signs of wear. Hardback cloth case. Paper label certifying ownership of the Natoli Library on the inside cover.

Specialist Notes

A prestigious work on the noble houses of Sicily, renowned for its rich illustrations: over two thousand coats of arms printed in color with precious metallic finishes. This copy includes the rare supplementary plate of the Savoys (6bis), which is difficult to find due to its periodic distribution lasting five years.
