Specialist Notes
An extremely rare first French edition that collects and reworks the most famous works by Dutch authors on naval architecture. The work is richly illustrated with descriptions of vessels, tools, caulking operations, and naval flags, including the "Pavillon de Naples" and "Pavillon des deux Siciles" on plate 37.
