Auction details
Highlighted are masterpieces of great prestige: Texas (1945), the first painting made by Alberto Burri; two iconic Andy Warhol-signed silkscreens of Mao from the private collection of Lella and Fausto Bertinotti; and three works of particular significance from the collection of Monica Vitti, including two paintings by Giorgio de Chirico and a rare tempera by Giacomo Balla belonging to the cycle of Compenetrazioni iridescenti.
Bringing this collection even more powerful are works by some of the most beloved names in contemporary collecting: the suspended colors between dream and memory of Salvo with Una torre sassone (1992) and Ora di pranzo (2007); and the refined conceptual texture of Alighiero Boetti with Le nuove autonomie (1979).
