Through photo-essays, exhibitions and cultural events, MEMORA tells the stories of the people at the heart of the major transformations of our time. The collective’s photographers work in contexts such as Nigeria, Syria, Myanmar and Ukraine, offering an independent and observant perspective on reality, transforming photography into documentation, memory and a tool for understanding the present.
The auction has been launched with a specific aim: every photograph purchased has a dual impact, supporting the photographers’ work whilst contributing to aid and solidarity projects. Part of the proceeds will go to EMERGENCY ONG ETS, whilst another portion will directly support local organisations with which the photographers have collaborated in Nigeria and Syria, including the Salama Centre in Maiduguri and community support initiatives in Aleppo.
The proceeds will also contribute to the creation of new independent photo-essays and cultural projects by MEMORA APS, to continue bringing to the public’s attention stories, people and realities that are often far from the spotlight.
Buying a photograph thus means preserving a story and helping to create new ones.

Payment method
Payments for the lots awarded must be made on the evening of the auction on Tuesday 13 October and in the days following, by way of a charitable donation to the Memora Aps collective, via bank transfer, for which a receipt will be issued.
Memora Aps will be fully responsible for the management and subsequent transfer of the proceeds to the beneficiary organisations.
