Living beauty. The homes of Antonio Crivellaro

Not all collections are created to be exhibited. Some take shape slowly, like a silent biography, intertwining works, objects, and lived spaces. This is the case with the collection of Antonio Crivellaro (1942–2025), an internationally renowned jurist, professor, and intellectual who cultivated a deep and private relationship with art for over fifty years as a daily exercise in attention and knowledge.

Abitare la bellezza. Le case di Antonio Crivellaro (Living Beauty: The Homes of Antonio Crivellaro) is the title of the house sale that, for the first time, reveals this universe, ideally opening the doors of the two residences that marked his life: his apartment in Milan and his villa in Lerici, overlooking the Gulf of Poets. Two places never conceived as exhibition spaces, but as lived-in, traversed, shared environments. Here, African art coexists with design, 20th-century abstract painting with rigorous period furnishings; sculptures are arranged as silent presences next to tables and windows. Nothing appears to be on display: everything is lived in.
