A FINE AND RARE REF. 3800/1 NAUTILUS SELF-WINDING STAINLESS STEEL WRISTWATCH, WITH DATE DISPLAY. CIRCA 1980 La nascita della collezione Nautilus, ispirata nella caratteristica forma ad un oblò, è indissolubilmente legata al nome del suo creatore, Gérald Genta, che nello stesso periodo aveva creato per Audemars Piguet il prototipo della linea Royal Oak. Il primo modello, di misura notevole, fu il 3700/1, noto come Jumbo. Nel 1981 la Maison lanciò un Nautilus di dimensioni più contenu- te, la ref. 3800/1. Era caratterizzato dai secondi centrali e dal fatto di montare il calibro 335 SC, nato dalla decisione di Patek Philippe di realizzare al proprio interno un movimento automatico di ridotto spessore, con 29 rubini.Information
