Lewis Hine, a trained American sociologist and scholar, used photography to document and emphasise his studies of society in the early 20th century, when the industrial revolution demanded unspeakable suffering from the workers, who worked in industries, especially textiles. He particularly focused on child labour with images that have remained in history, not only in photography.
