Obverse: Simple oval coat of arms, within a rich scrolled frame with a shell above, surmounted by a tiara and crossed keys with a cord and bow, partially hidden; Reverse: The Saint, wearing a miter, seated on clouds, facing forward, blesses with his right hand and holds a crosier in his left; to the left, the two towers of the city on clouds; above, rays of rain falling between clouds. Below, the two semi-oval arms of Cardinal Legate Ignazio Boncompagni Ludovisi and the city of Bologna, surmounted by a lion's head.
MIR 2814/1. CNI 30. Muntoni 185. Very rare.
Usual marginal defects on the planchet. An exceptionally well-preserved proof like specimen.
