Reference 492 was in production from 1936 until the late 1940s, being a true unicorn for this era thanks to its oversized curved case. To the best of our knowledge, less than 5 examples in steel have appeared on the international auction market. The very rare Gay Frères elastic bracelet of the present watch adds another layer of collectibility to the piece.
