Specialist Notes
Notes: Produced for three decades, from 1934 to 1964, reference 130 represents the archetype of the vintage Patek Philippe chronograph with Calatrava lines. Even though it was manufactured for a long period, production was quite limited, resulting in a total of about 1500 pieces produced. The cases, made primarily in yellow gold, were produced in rose gold, steel and steel-gold as well, but in much more limited quantities. To the best of our knowledge, less then 160 examples in rose gold are known to the market. The dials were also the subject of great experimentation, with different designs, indexes, numerals and scales. The watch proposed in this catalogue features one of the most sought-after configurations by collectors: the rose gold case displays full proportions and deep hallmarks, while the dial, with its beautiful salmon colour, shows crisp and raised hard enamel writings.
