Straight blade with a single-and-short-false-edged blade, with fuller and ribbed at the weak. Finely engraved, browned and gilded on three-quarters of its length; each side decorated with five panels, the first identical on both sides, showing a geometric design, the second with lightning bolts between flames and wings (allegory of Jupiter/Mercury), the third featuring a beautiful trophy design with the monogram “VE” within a crowned orb, the fourth showing crossed swords charged with the letters “V” and “E” respectively, held together by flowers, the last section, which is the longest, showing a dense floral decoration, also present on both sides; the other side of the blade is decorated with a pair of cornucopias, trophies with the Savoy eagle emblem and a caduceus. Gilded-brass hilt (40% gilding), the shell guard is finely decorated with an ancient battle scene, figures in relief and granulated background; beautiful engraved and carved guard, with an ancient warrior at the top on one side and a flower on the other. Angled pommel with fine carvings of lightning bolts, wings and floral motifs. Mother-of-pearl grips with longitudinal grooves. The ring-nut and side bands are brightly gilded and decorated with floral motifs on a dotted background.
