Majestic, curved, damask blade, provided with a short jelman, four grooves for three quarters of its length, which become two at the weak, the strong gilded and featuring bas-relief carvings with plant motifs and trophies, the base cartouche with the manufacturer's inscription “WESTER & C SOLINGEN” on one side and “DAMASCO VERO” on the other; the back decorated with leaves; tang. Browned, steel hilt (still retaining 80% of the original browning), typical shape, decorated with gilded spirals; guard with dedication “Al Conte Alessandro Negri di Sanfront” within a gilded frame and Savoy knots at the ends, in the upper part the symbol of the city of Brescia, a beautiful lion crowned in gold; long cap with engravings and gilding en suite; in the lower part of the quillon, engraving and date “Brescia 1859” (the year in which he was promoted to major general). Grip divided in checkered ivory sections. The elliptical button with the owner's initials “ANS” gold-inlaid and surmounted by a count's crown, also in gold. Steel scabbard with beautiful lugs provided with gold decorations and floral engravings, engraved chape. Bruniture? Battisasso?
