Smoothbore, two-stage barrel, octagonal at the first part with moulded breech, signed "LAZARINO COMINAZZO", with a moulded ring at the transition, and the second part with longitudinal facets; fitted with a small moulded nozzle. Cal. 17.2 mm at the muzzle. Flintlock of early type, the lockplate still manufactured for wheel-lock mechanisms. Short cock with base engraved with floral motifs, pronounced knot, and curved hammer throw. Working mechanism, though the trigger difficultly engages the snap bar. Full stock of antique manufacture, the butt stock with several old worm holes (restored and inactive), two replaced wood patches near the buttplate, and a repaired crack. Iron mounts, including a fine trigger-guard decorated with moulded knots and openwork floral design; antique iron buttplate with border-engraving and floral decoration. Later iron-tipped wooden ramrod with cartridge extractor.
