Information

Germania
length 65,5 cm.
Wooden tiller of typical shape, thicker in the centre, completely covered with thick, deer horn plates. Those on the sides are made of unworked horn, with the typical rough brown surface. The upper plate and the one covering the lower side are both made of worked horn and white. The dorsal plate is made of bone (replaced during use?) with a surface engraved with floral motifs. Featuring a support for the dart, the nut, which is certainly antique, and a foldaway rear sight. On the sides there is a thick cylindrical iron crossbar for the pocket gun. The stirrup is circular. The bow is thick and made of iron. The bowstring is not recent, complete with tensioner and old green fabric tassels. The lower plate has several engraved elements: a vase, a winged Nike, a trophy, bands of racemes and a beautiful depiction of the allegory of charity, surmounted by the word “CHARITAS”. The end of the tiller with a beautiful inlaid checkerboard motif. Foldaway trigger. Large countercurved iron hand guard.
