A beautiful flintlock pistol with silver mounts
length 54.5 cm.
Round, smoothbore barrel with square base carved with floral motifs on a gilded background. Lock (missing cock) decorated en suite. Wooden full stock, the visible part carved with floral and geometric motifs. The butt covered with embossed and partially gilded silver plates depicting floral motifs. Grip covered with silver wire binding. Spherical pommel richly engraved in bas-relief, the counterplate and trigger guard likewise. Featuring a long and a short barrel bracket band, both finely embossed with floral motifs in bas-relief, fake ramrod made of silver and decorated with bands and floral motifs. Very rare.
