Venice, Altobello Salicato, 1582. 4°. Printer's device on the title page and small handwritten note at the bottom, woodcut headpieces and initials, text within a frame. Woodworm from the flyleaf to the fifth leaf, defects and woodworm at the spine join from p. 389 to p. 399, deep woodworm hole from p. 180 to the end of the volume. Bound in half cloth and parchment with title.

First edition of Sansovino's celebrated work on illustrious Italian families. Added to this collection are the Arbori by Campana, author of several similar works, and the Compendium of Memoirs of Savona, with a section dedicated to the city's illustrious men.
