Specialist Notes

A rare Turin edition of this folk tale, based on the 15th-century French novel , "Pierre de Provence et la belle Maguelonne ," tells the story of Peter of Provence, who sets out for Naples to meet Maghelona, the king's daughter, whose beauty he has heard celebrated. Once in Naples, the two fall in love and decide to leave for Provence. Their journey will be full of adventures and vicissitudes.
