Information
Lugano, G. Vanelli e Comp., 1827. In 12°. Engraving on the title page, marginal foxing, contemporary binding in blue half cloth and cardboard. This is an important edition, published in Lugano in 1827 by G. Vanelli e Comp., which includes the fundamental Discourse on the Text of Foscolo's Divine Comedy . The work is structured in two volumes and represents a point of reference for nineteenth-century critical studies of Dante. It anticipates the more complete and definitive edition subsequently edited by Giuseppe Mazzini (London, 1842-1843).
