Milan, Francesco Pagnoni, 1865. 2°, 336 x 240 mm. 3 volumes, 1 frontispiece portrait of Dante and 54 total copperplate plates outside the text, contemporary binding in brown half leather and knurled cloth. A fine 19th-century edition of the Divine Comedy with illustrations by Carlo Barbieri and Federico Faruffini, engraved by Giuseppe Gandini. Mambelli 349: "luxury edition, on two-column glazed paper, with burin engraving in each quire."
