Portrait of Dante drawn and copper-engraved by Giuseppe Benaglia on the frontispiece of vol. 1 and three copper-engraved plates by Cagnoni depicting the three kingdoms, marginal foxing, contemporary binding in hazelnut half-leather and marbled paper, sprayed edges. Bookplate Laurentii Amione. "A highly esteemed edition and the first made in Italy in the 19th century. Contains the life of Dante written by Tiraboschi," Mambelli 88.
