Engraved by SONNERAT, From a drawing made on site by Pietro Bagetti (Turin 1764 - 1831). Engraving from the work: Views of Napoleon's battlefields in Italy in the years 1796, 1797, and 1800. Drawn on the sites by M. Bagetti, captain-engineer-geographer. Gravées et finisées at the Dépôt de la Guerre, under the direction of M. le Lieutenant-Général Pelet - Paris 1835 - A very rare collection of views documenting both the battles and the territory in which they took place. Precisely depicting an environment that had not yet disappeared and was depleted, these large-scale views become a tool for discovering the geographical area encompassing France, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, and Emilia.
