Specialist Notes

The pair of vases presents numerous similarities in technical creation and design, with various models from the 'Anse Volanti' series designed by Giorgio Ferro for A.VE.M. and were purchased in a historic Murano glass factory warehouse disposal. The items present with a noteworthy proximity to some glasses by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini from the 'Forati' series, specifically for the shapes and technique of making the holes, such as for the 4223 and 4395 models. The vases proposed in this lot could be a furnace experiment as they were not made of iridescent 'sommerso' glass but of glass paste and embellished with a materiality that brings them closer to marble and natural materials.
