Specialist Notes

The lot is part of of three bedroom furnishings commissioned to Gio Ponti by the chief engineer of the 'Marzotto' company Sir. Filippo Masci, for his residence in Naples. These items were subsequently transported to the family castle of Miglianico in Abruzzo region, as reported by the original shipper labels. During the production period of these furnishings, Gio Ponti was collaborating with the 'Marzotto' company on the project of a large villa in Valdagno, Veneto. Each item is characterized by a refined walnut briar veneer and elegant brass tips on the wooden supports. The project involved the creation of two bedrooms furniture; Finarte hesitated the first one in Milan on December 17th 2024
