Information
pencil, ink and watercolor on paper
42 x 57 cm
Original illustration made by Ward in 1969 for the men's magazine Humorama and subsequently published as the cover for Joker magazine. Ward began drawing his pin-ups during the Second World War, creating seductive busty girls in very high heels, black stockings and skin-tight dresses, thus influencing the erotic fantasies of post-war America: the boom in men's magazines of the 1950s did not it only confirmed Ward as one of the country's most popular artists. Small repaired tear on the right margin and small part missing on the lower left corner. Signed on the front and dated on the back.
