Specialist Notes
The XK 140 is the model that replaced, in 1954, the XK 120, improving it and perfecting the model in many important details, both technical and aesthetic. This specimen is a DHC version, or Drop Head Coupe, a much more refined and comfortable cabriolet version of the spartan OTS roadster. It is fitted with a special type C (ie "competition") cylinder head that develops 210 hp, compared to the standard 190 hp. This specimen also mounts the optional wire wheels. The car has undergone restoration in the past years, always very well cared for and kept in perfect working order. It comes in a lively red livery, with a tan leather interior and a white soft top in excellent condition. The woods of the interiors are as spectacular as the Moto-lita steering wheel and the car is fitted with a vintage radio but equipped with FM. Plates and documents are Spanish, in order and up to date. The car took part in a re-enactment of Milano-Sanremo in 2009. It has a FIA passport.
