Assisi, Tipografia Sgarigliana, 1782. In 4°. Loose quires, ink stains, small burn hole on the white margin of the title page, contemporary hard parchment binding, smooth spine with handwritten author and title, stains and some old pen calculations on the covers.
Specialist Notes
The first edition of the work was printed in Lyon in 1746 and is perhaps the primary source for the reconstruction of the famous battle of the War of the Austrian Succession fought in 1744 near Velletri between the Austrian troops of Prince Christian of Lobkowitz and the Spanish-Neapolitan troops of King Charles of Bourbon, who emerged victorious.
