Genoa, printed for Giuseppe Pavoni at the request of Bernardo Castello, 1617. In folio. Full parchment binding. Smooth spine with gilt author and title inscription. Engravings on the frontispiece and title page. Title on the frontispiece. Portrait of the dedicatee on the frontispiece and of the author on the title page. Woodcut initials. Text in two columns. 20 engravings (at the beginning of each canto). Due to a misprint, the illustrations for cantos IV and V are incorrect (the correct figure is superimposed within the frame). Slight browning and brown ink marks. An excellent copy. Ex libris of Il Polifilo of Milan on the pastedown.
