Florence, Filippo Giunta, 1507. In 8°. Text in italics, spaces for initials with guide letters, slight marginal foxing, later half-leather binding with blind stamping, gold title within a tag on the three-ribbed spine, some light signs of wear.

Specialist Notes

Luca della Robbia's first work for Giunta, after replacing the original publisher, Benedetto Riccardini. This is an elegant edition printed in Florence by Filippo Giunta of Quintus Curtius Rufus's text, dedicated to the exploits of Alexander the Great. It features a preface by Luca della Robbia and Alessandro Acciaioli, with an accompanying poem by Pietro Bargetami.
