Engraved allegorical frontispiece, title page and copperplate portrait for both volumes, 12 full-page tipped-in plates, numerous copperplate headpieces, vignettes, and endpapers, some rare small stains, light browning, contemporary marbled calf binding, covers framed by triple gold fillet, gold titles and volume number within a double insert on the spine, marbled edges, restoration to the hinges, some peeling. Paper bookplate on the inside cover of volume II.
