Information
Florence, per Philippum Iuntam kalendis Februariis, 1505. In folio. Hardback bound with marbled paper. Damage and losses to the binding and spine. Slight browning and ink marks.
Specialist Notes
Petrus Crinitus (“Riccio”), who died in 1507, was the pseudonym of the Florentine humanist Pietro Del Riccio Baldi, a disciple of Poliziano. His literary miscellany De honesta disciplina , published by Giunta in 1504, went through numerous editions. De poetis latinis is generally dated 1505, but Giunta's colophon should be interpreted as 1505/6, since Crinitus' dedication to Cosimo Pazzi, bishop of Arezzo, is dated November 1, 1505.
