Paris, Christophe Jean François Ballard, 1820. 8vo. Half-title, with numerous tables and conversion tables in the text, light browning, occasional small stains, tear in the lower corner of the plate on A3 paper marginally damaging the text, contemporary marbled calf binding with gilt title stamped within a tag on the smooth spine, detached spine, missing header, minor defects. Author's signature on the verso of the title page and equipped with the "regolateur".

Copy signed by the author on the back of the title page and complete with the rare metal "regolateur" that facilitates the reading of the plates, contained in a pocket on the front pastedown.
