London, William Miller, Old-Bond Street; William Bulmer and Co., 1804. In 2°. With 50 plates in original colour engraved by W. Ellis and W. Poole and accompanied by an equal number of text leaves in English and French, light browning on some leaves, contemporary long-grain blue morocco binding, impressed gilt decoration, gilt frame on the covers, 5-ribbed spine with gilt title sections and geometric borders, gilt edges, peeling.

The plates depict popular figures in costume: peasants and villagers from Upper Austria, Upper Carniola, the Moravian Plain, Tyrol, the County of Neutra, Hungarians, Bohemians, and others.
