"Born in the Citroen era, the Merak is a creation of Giulio Alfieri and Giorgetto Giugiaro, to fight the ""small"" Ferrari Dino and Lamborghini Urraco. From 1976, with the new DeTomaso management, the servomechanisms of the SM were replaced. The SS then, like this model, had a real sporty soul, with an upgraded engine, lightened and stiffened chassis. The ""dramatic” lines of the model are enhanced in this exceptionally preserved specimen, with a blue tone on tone livery with blue leather interior."
