Specialist Notes
The AJS Model 16 was developed in1945 from the military Matchless G3/L World War II motorcycle. It retained a rigid rear frame until 1949, when pivoted rear suspension became available. This specimen was sold new in Italy in 1958. Only license, the presence of a handlebar with levers and throttle of Italian production. Original levers and throttle are, however, available.
