Information
Paris, Pierre Lecuire, 1954. In 4°. 330 x 250 mm. SINGLE COPY of this first edition containing 17 ballet-poems, illustrated with 20 original full-page black engravings, including 3 double-page ones. In this case it is the first copy of the "sur Japon Imperial" header containing a suite of etchings on vergé ancien applied on the various sheets. It is most likely the first copy, a trial copy, as can also be seen from the fact that two etchings bear the inscription "mauvaux planche", the 5bis Gouttes and the 6, Chateau d'Amphitrite .
These plates constitute almost all of the painter's engraved works, of which he composed only 23 in total.
