Opera pioneristica del Marabelli che anticipa gli studi successivi nel campo della botanica, della chimica vegetale e dell’alimentazione del 1793. 8°, vignetta incisa al front., Legatura coeva in piena pergamena, cornice dorata ai piatti. Rara edizione originale di questa dettagliata analisi dei benefici e degli effetti collaterali derivati dall'utilizzo di questa pianta in farmacia e nell'alimentazione. Prima monografia scientifica dedicata esclusivamente al mais che segue la classificazione fatta dal Linneo in “Species Plantarum” del 1753.
