In the "Mirror of the Cross" the well-known Dominican scholar points to a path of perfection modeled on the example of Christ, "the light and mirror of all perfection," who stands on the Cross "as a teacher in the chair." A classic of religious literature of the 14th century, which inspired Catherine of Siena in her Dialogue.
