Venice, Appresso Guglielmo Zerbetti. Frontispiece with the portrait of Grand Duke Paul Petrovich of Russia, dedicatee of the work, engraved in copper by Antonio Baratti, vignette on the frontispiece, 20 folded chalcographic plates outside the text, musical notations in the text engraved in copper and wood. Flyleaves with repaired losses. The portrait is partly torn and with a repaired tear. Frontispiece with several repaired tears. 20th century parchment binding with colored marbled paper on the covers.
Specialist Notes
First edition. A classic manual for singing techniques and musical accompaniment. Vincenzo Mandredini was a court composer for Catherine II.
