London, Carlo Bennet, 1736. In 2°. Full-page portraits of Rolli and the Dedicatory. A fragmentary copy of Milton's portrait, with browning on the first quire and a repaired tear on one leaf. Contemporary binding in full bazzana leather with boards framed by a double fillet and gilt titles on a tag on the spine, with defects on the hinges, the ends and the spine.
Also in the lot is another edition of Paradise Lost with illustrations by Doré, undated but printed in Milan by Sonzogno around 1890, in its red cloth binding.
