Bookplate of Carlo Marstaller, cotton collector and entrepreneur (from a family of entrepreneurs originally from Frankfurt am Main who settled in Bari and Naples during the Bourbon period, about the middle of the nineteenth century).

These Giornali di Napoli constitute the main work of Conforto and represent a very important source for the history of Naples at the end of the seventeenth century.
