Information
Turin, with Francesco Prato, book merchant in Dora Grossa, 1794 (Ivrea, from the printing press of Ludovico Franco, bishop printer, of the Ill.ma citta, and regii uffizi, 1794). In 8th. Specialist Notes
First work: the poem was composed to cheer the guests of Count Giulio Cesare Corsi of Viano in his villa Cremosina. The incipit is an explicit parody of chivalric poems, while the whole work focuses on the praise of cheese in all its varieties, starting from stracchino, celebrated together with Milan: "Milan you are very great, and you are the first / among the beautiful cities of Lombardy / your Stracchin is held in high esteem everywhere". The selection of cheeses is extensive, Piedmontese giuncate, tome, fontine, gruera, robiole etc.
