Florence, [Lorenzo Torrentino], 1549. In 8°. Woodcut brand on the title page, some light foxing, rigid cardboard binding with marbled paper, blue cuts, gold titles within a gusset on the spine. Paper ex libris on the inside cover.

Specialist Notes

Beautiful 16th century example of this esoteric text, which over the centuries has always aroused great interest. Translated only in 1463 by Marsilio Ficino, this text traces an initiatory path through which the devotee is guided towards understanding the nous and rebirth in God, thanks to the teachings of his messenger, Hermes Trismegistus.
