Specialist Notes
RARE EDITION OF MAUZAN'S ADVERTISING WORK, a true founder and master of the genre.
Achille Luciano Mauzan was a French advertiser, illustrator and painter. Born in France, he soon moved to Italy where he began working as an illustrator first for magazines, postcards or ceramics, then for the nascent film industry, producing around 1500 film posters between 1909 and 1913. In 1924 he founded his own graphic production company with Morzenti. Around 400 of his billboards are part of the Salce Collection, preserved at the Luigi Bailo Civic Museum in Treviso.
