Venetiis, in aedibus Aldi, et Andreae Asulani in-laws, mense Martio 1528 In 4°. Aldine still on the title page and at the end of the volume, splendid contemporary Venetian binding with dry impressions on the upper and lower plate, central gold lozenge bearing the name of the two authors in the center of the two plates, defects and cracks. Examples thickly annotated by the hands of 16th century doctors, at least two, with precise notes on the pathologies and proposed remedies.

The text was prepared by Giovanni Battista Egnazio, who had resumed working for the Aldine printing house after an absence for over a decade. The source of the text was a manuscript belonging to Ercole Gonzaga, the dedicatee, which contained both Celsus and Serenus, hence the presence of both texts in this volume.
