The work also contains the "Nec non contra praestigias, imposturas, allusionesque daemonum, cautiones et amuleta praescribuntur: ac denique augae, quae de ijsdem narrari solent, dilucidè confutantur". "First and only Aldine edition" of this important work of magic by Leonardo Vairo, born in Benevento around 1540 and died in Pozzuoli in 1603. See Renourd, 8, p. 242.
