Information
A fine set of Michetti documents: two postcards, dated 1923 and 1926 respectively, depicting two works by Michetti, with two long dedications; a letter of one page in 8°, 210 x 135 mm.; three sheets with sketches of thin paper, containing stylized figures, landscapes, various subjects probably from his paintings, arranged in anticipation of an exhibition or a catalogue.
Specialist Notes
D'Annunzio: «...there is no shadow of aestheticism. But Michetta's genius revealed itself in its essential characteristics with more rigor, with more disdain, with more harshness, with more violence. It is a large canvas painted in tempera, very severe in design, sober in colour, simple and proud of feelings. The soul of our old land of Abruzzo is manifested there with an admirable concentration».
